T-Tapp is a method of movement that incorporates many principles. One is it’s ability to pump the lymphatic system with each move. This allow us to work with enough intensity that we get amazing results ( like losing 2 sizes in 4 weeks!!), but without exhausting our adrenal glands or being so sore we hate to do the workout again.
People with fibromyalgia are told they need to increase their movement and start to exercise. But when they do, they tend to feel worse. This is especially true if they increase the intensity of their exercise. This is the exact opposite of what happens when you do T-Tapp. Between every major muscle movement in T-Tapp, there is a super lymphatic movement designed to pump out the lactic acid (this is what makes your muscles sore) and toxins that are released. Voila! You feel the positive effects of the movement without the resulting aches and pains.
I have a new client who has suffered with fibromyalgia and adrenal fatigue for a long time. She has struggled through with different trainers, doing her cardio and weight training but she never really felt good. Instead it tended to kick up her pain. During her first session of T-Tapp, she kept looking at me with surprise. “This feels so good” she kept saying. You could see her body was craving this movement. She loved it and scheduled another session for the following week.
On our second session, again she was blown away by how wonderful each different move made her feel. At one point in the workout, she turned to me and said “this feels like I’m getting a wonderful massage. No actually it is better than a massage. It’s like I’m being massaged from the inside out!”
I loved this. What a great description of how T-Tapp makes you feel. Like you are being massaged from the inside out!
