T-Tapp is known as the “workout that works”! T-Tapp has helped thousands of people drop inches quicker and with much less effort than any other workout I know of. Losing 2 sizes in 4 weeks (the by-line of Teresa Tapp’s book Fit and Fabulous in Fifteen Minutes) is not uncommon. Not only does T-Tapp work amazingly well at inch loss, it is also rehabilitative. T-Tapp works to improve back, neck, hip, knee and foot pain. T-Tapp works to increase flexibility. Because of it’s ability to pump the lymph, T-Tapp works to assist the body with it’s detoxification and elimination.
We know T-Tapp works based on the thousands of unsolicited testimonials from people sharing their experience with T-Tapp. Most of these people did T-Tapp consistently for a period of time to get those results. The longer they did the workout, the more their brains and body connected. The greater their brain/body connection, the better the results. This is why Teresa Tapp’s latest series of DVD’s are now being called her Brain/Body series.
When your brain and body become more connected, you are able to improve your T-Tapp form. You begin to understand what Teresa Tapp means when she tells you to “tuck your butt” or “lift your ribs”. When first doing the T-Tapp DVD’s these phrases might not really connect with you. How about when she asks you to bring your knees out to your little toe? WHAT???? Or “press ball joint lift big toe”???
No wonder so many people “try” T-Tapp by watching a DVD a few times and deciding they can’t do it. Or thinking they have to do it with “perfect form” or it won’t work. So what do most of us Type A, good little girls do? We decide we won’t do it if we can’t do it perfectly so we put the DVD back into it’s case and sit it on the shelf. This breaks my heart!
You CAN’T do T-Tapp perfectly when you first start to do it. You don’t even know what IT is! We first have to crawl before we can walk and walk before we can run. We still get around even when we are crawling . It’s the same with T-Tapp. First learn what the T-Tapp stance is. Then move on to learning the basics of each move in the 15 minute workout (Basic Workout +). Then begin to slow it all down and focus on form.
Here’s where the Warm Up Workouts can be helpful! I know you were wondering when I was going to finally get to them. 🙂
These three DVD’s were filmed during our T-Tapp annual fitness retreats. I absolutely loved these morning warm up workouts. Because Teresa Tapp has a very bad back due to early physical injury and trauma, she perfected these warm up stretches to improve her own strength and flexibility while allowing her to stay out of pain. Over the years, she has taught these to thousands of people who have received the same kind of positive results.
Teresa leads you through 3 different warm up workouts both standing and on the floor. These moves are done slowly with Teresa teaching the importance of body (linear) alignment. Her explanation for each movement and the exact placement of feet to knees to hips to shoulder will help you understand and then put into practice correct form tips. You will hear her ask repeatedly for you to “FEEL the difference” in your body when you are in proper alignment. Use these warm up workouts to connect your brain to your body. Then when you take out your other DVD’s, you can use these new form tips and connection to take your workout to the next level. Results will follow!
For those of you who are more experienced T-Tappers, please don’t pass these up. I realize you want to get right into the De-Bulk Series or use some of the other more advanced DVD’s. But I highly recommend including these warm up stretch DVD’s in your T-Tapp library. Use them at least once a week. Use them on your “recovery” days or when you are a little more tired or stressed out and just want to stretch it all out. I know you will love the way they make you feel.
If you have adrenal fatigue (and who doesn’t these days???) or thyroid issues, these DVD’s can be a blessing. They are slow enough you can follow along and yet, because of the emphasis on proper alignment and form, you will feel wonderful AND get the inch loss results you are looking for.
I can’t tell you how many ” ah ha’s” I’ve gotten recently while watching them. You will notice, even though they were filmed several years ago, they were a precuscor to many of our new Senior Fit moves. Yes… Teresa does have a method to this madness called T-Tapp!
