Do you find yourself committed to your lifestyle plan all day but find yourself with your head in the refrigerator at night?
Willpower is like a muscle. It is strong first thing in the morning. But as the stress of the day builds up, it fatigues (tires out) that muscle. By the evening, the muscle is exhausted and can’t hold you up anymore.
What’s the solution? Try giving yourself a “stress time out” in the late afternoon. Take 15 – 20 minutes to relax and recharge your willpower muscle. Go to a coffee house and have a cup of tea while reading your favorite book, go out into nature and take a walk.
Or do my favorite stress reliever…a 15 minute T-Tapp workout. T-Tapp will not only relieve your stress, it will also pump your lymph so you release the toxins that have built up over the day and it will allow you to have a more whole-brained state due to it’s left/right brained movements.
Once you have taken your “stress time out”, you will find your willpower muscle will be flexed and strong once again, allowing you to go into your evening without turning to unhealthy comfort food. Try these tips and let me know how they work for you.
