What do you want your life to look like?
This is one of the most powerful questions you can ask yourself. Powerful questions are essential tools we can use to transform our life.
Did you answer this question by telling yourself what you don’t want? For example, “I don’t want to be tired and overweight anymore” or “I want a life where I don’t sabotage myself all the time”… When you do this, you keep your focus on what you don’t want. Your subconscious mind doesn’t understand the “don’t” part. It just hears the “tired, overweight and sabotaging” part. So you keep attracting and getting more of that. This is where the saying “what you focus on expands” becomes important!
Instead of focusing your energy on what you don’t want, stop and decide what you want instead. In the above example, perhaps it is “I want to be a vital, lean woman” and “I stay mindful during the day and give myself the self care I need”. You keep your focus on what you want it to look like. That is what will then expand.
Have you been doing this and still not seeing much change? Perhaps it’s because your subconscious doesn’t believe a word of it. Your subconscious mind controls about 90% of your behavior and if your subconscious mind doesn’t support what you want…there is no amount of positive affirmations and self-talk that is going to permanently change your behavior. Does that mean there is no hope???
The whole-mind connection
The hope lies in working with your subconscious mind – the part of your mind that stores the beliefs programmed by past experiences and is responsible for many of your habitual, automatic behaviors.
According to cell biologist and Biology of Belief author Dr. Bruce Lipton, PhD, our subconscious minds process and respond to a million times more information than our conscious minds are able to. Put another way, if your mind is a handcart, then your subconscious is like a steam locomotive. If the two minds are moving in opposite directions, guess who wins? It doesn’t matter how disciplined you are, how hard you try, or how much you want to fix it – if your subconscious mind isn’t on board, it isn’t going to happen.
Let’s use the above example to show this. You really want to lose weight. You wake up every morning committed to staying on your healthy eating and lifestyle plan. But then something happens and you find yourself eating foods that don’t serve your weight loss goal.
It is clear you consciously want to lose weight but perhaps you have a subconscious belief that losing weight isn’t safe or that you don’t deserve to be thin. These kinds of beliefs have been programmed into our subconscious minds and they are running the show. You will never had long lasting success until you re-program your subconscious in a positive and supportive way.
If you’re ready to move toward what you truly want with grace, fluidity and ease, it’s time to learn how to open a direct dialog with your subconscious mind.
PSYCH-K is one powerful way to do that. PSYCH-K is a simple, direct, verifiable – and fun – set of processes for communicating directly with your subconscious mind in order to discover and change pre-programmed, hidden beliefs from your past that may be sabotaging your success and happiness.
This gentle method allows you to speak the natural language of the subconscious – images and emotion – and choose what changes to make. Once your subconscious mind agrees, you naturally move in the direction you have chosen to go.
Just like T-Tapp, PSYCH-K needs to be experienced. Once you experience it’s gentle but effective brain balances, you will understand that working harder towards achieving your goal isn’t the way you will change. Instead, you’ll learn to work gently with your subconscious to discover and then change those beliefs that are holding you back from having what you want. Change your beliefs and watch your life transform!
